Dan Martin is the Chief Financial Officer for Peterson Companies and serves on the Company’s Investment and Finance Committees. Dan plays a key role in setting the Company’s deal structures and business plans and oversees the financial, tax, accounting and risk management functions. Dan is involved in all areas of the Company’s strategic and financial planning and its financial relationships, including those with its partners.

Dan first joined Peterson Companies in the mid-1990s as a finance analyst and left in 1997 to join GE Capital Real Estate, where he served for 17 years, first as associate director, then relationship manager, and finally as region manager. In 2015, Dan joined Walker & Dunlop as Senior Vice President. In 2017, Dan joined HFF, LP as Managing Director.  During his time with GE Capital, Walker & Dunlop, and HFF, he worked on placing several loans for Peterson Companies. Dan rejoined Peterson Companies in 2018 as Senior Vice President, Finance. Dan is a seasoned financial executive and brings more than 20 years of industry experience.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Maryland and an MBA in Finance from George Mason University.
