Uniqlo, Gold’s Gym to open in Downtown Silver Spring

WASHINGTON BUSINESS JOURNAL – Fast-fashion retailer Uniqlo is expanding its D.C.-area portfolio to Downtown Silver Spring, while co-owner Peterson Cos. has also landed a replacement for the long-shuttered Washington Sports Club in the same development.

Uniqlo, a subsidiary of Japan’s Fast Retailing Co. Ltd., will occupy 10,058 square feet at 914 Ellsworth St., a Peterson spokeswoman confirmed. That space was formerly home to retailer Ulta Beauty, which relocated in 2020 to 8510 Fenton St., also in Downtown Silver Spring.
