- This season’s tower installation marks the 11th anniversary of Downtown Silver Spring’s fun, unexpected and anything-but-ordinary holiday displays! Like this larger than life holiday popper, we hope your holiday season overflows with joyful surprises, welcome delights and the warmth of the season. - From Saturday, December 2nd – December 16th, join us to take a selfie with Santa, enjoy festive Sounds of the Season performances, shop unique finds at the Holiday Artisan Market, and more!

- On Saturday, December 16th from 10 AM – 4 PM, eat, drink and shop at our Holiday Artisan Market along Ellsworth Drive between Georgia Avenue and Fenton Street!
- Sounds of the Season
- From November 24th through December 23rd, experience the fun and festivities of the holiday season with some of our favorite traditions! Get into the holiday spirit with performances by talented school and community music groups all season long on Ellsworth Drive’s Dazzling Center Stage.

- ICE! @Gaylord
- ICE! is back at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor. Don the signature blue parka and step into a wonderland, carved by expert artisans, from two million pounds of colorful ice. Experience beloved holiday classics with larger-than-life sculptures and even plunge down slides made entirely of ice in this Gaylord Hotels original experience. - Santa at the Capital Wheel
- Naughty or nice, share your wish list and get your picture taken with Santa before enjoying scenic views of the Harbor from the Capital Wheel!
- Nightly Tree Light Show
- Watch our 60-foot RGB tree come to life nightly. The breathtaking light show dances alongside a holiday medley recorded by the United States Air Force Band. We are so grateful to be able to offer such grand and colorful holiday attractions across our properties!
- Fireworks
- Join us Saturday nights from November 11 – December 30 at 5:30pm for a spectacular fireworks display following the tree lighting show.
- Movies on the Potomac
- Pack your chairs, grab food to go from one of the delicious dining establishments, and meet on the Plaza’s big screen for a *FREE* afternoon of fun for all ages!
- Free Cocoa
- Make shopping during the holiday season extra cheerful with a complimentary cup of hot chocolate from participating retailers!
- Sample Gaithersburg’s Winter Lights on the Lakefront
- The City’s Winter Lights Festival is welcoming visitors for its 28th spectacular season. The wondrous display of lights at Seneca Creek State Park will be open nightly through December 31st.
- Light Up the Lakefront
- Join us Saturday, December 9th from 4-7 PM for a festive evening of holiday fun, including music, festive photo ops, strolling entertainment, and more on the Lakefront with activities along the Boardwalk (near Guapo’s/Charley Prime) and Fire Lounge (between TFK & Uncle Julio’s)
- Winter Maker’s Market
- Join us December 8th – December 10th to celebrate the holiday shopping season with an indoor Makers Market with Locally Crafted – located near Target! Shop original art and hand-crafted goods from 50+ local artisans.
