Dave & Buster’s is coming to Gaithersburg.
The entertainment venue and restaurant has signed on for a nearly 39,000-square-foot location at Rio Washingtonian Center. Montgomery County blog The MoCoShow was the first to report the news. Terms were not disclosed.
The popular games-and-grub spot will move into a space formerly occupied by a Sport & Health gym at 9811 Washingtonian Blvd.
Ray Schupp of H&R Retail represented Dave & Buster’s in the deal.

The Dallas-based chain currently has three locations in Greater Washington: Springfield, Silver Spring and Capital Heights. As we reported in the fall, plans were in the works to bring a Dave & Buster’s location to the former Sears site at Fair Oaks Mall.
Dave & Buster’s closed its location at the White Flint Mall in 2014 and later claimed mall owners The Tower Cos. and Lerner Enterprises unlawfully ejected it. The mall closed in 2015 and was later demolished.
