Work on New Leesburg Shopping Center Gets Underway

THE BURN – Site work has started recently. That’s where the mighty machines — bulldozers, backhoes, etc. — come in and prepare the property — remove foliage, clear the ground, put in underground utility links, etc. When that process is done, the construction crews will start “going vertical” meaning foundations will be poured and buildings will begin going up.

As The Burn has reported in previous stories, the Shops at Russell Branch will be anchored by a 22,000 s.f. ALDI grocery store. There will also be an Exxon gas station and convenience store and a Virginia Auto & Tire car shop.
